sores on my dog

My part Rhodesian Ridgeback has licked a sore spot on two of her legs. She is wearing the plastic collar at night so she can't lick. She has had an antibiotic shot from the vet and is on one Benadryl each evening, plus I spray it with something that is supposed to keep her from licking. It doesn't work. I rub Neosporin into the sores that are about the size of a dime and a quarter. Does anyone have a miraculous cure-all for this? The vet told me that it can be very serious and the sores could get larger if she doesn't stop licking them. They would have to be removed surgically, and it could be fatal if they got big enough. What do you think??
