What a pretty Hibiscus (although that's kind of redundant - they're all pretty!) Monterey, your image looks quite a bit different from the other pics for 'Santana'; any chance it is a sport or similarly-named cultivar? (Here are some other images of 'Santana' to compare it to:

I thought the same thing here is the tag. These are all over at the nurseries here.Must be a new one. They are always trying to come up with a more hardy one.

Is there anyone you can check with where you bought it? It just really doesn't look much like what all the other sources list as 'Santana'...

You must be right. The weird thing is here is another one they call the same thing only they say orange with yellow center. I say pull it if it's not right I don't want it messing up the Database.

Looks like somebody at the nursery got some tags mixed up - yikes! (It does happen, unfortunately....) I'll take care of the image in the PDB - thanks!!!!

Rich, Terry;

My best guess judging by the bloom and leaf would be, "Edward LaPlante" The blooms are about 5 inches or so and it is considered a garden variety. Very hardy for a tropical and forms a nice full bush with plenty of blooms. The blooms can differ slightly from winter to summer. Grows well as a container plant also.
