Daylily's

Temple, GA(Zone 7b)

Hey everyone, I guess some of u heard about what happened with my pond being destroyed, while in the process of selling it. And They got alot of my flowers around the pond that were just coming up, so , all I have left to trade are the Orange Daylily's. If anyone would be interested in some of those, LMK. Or if you have plants that I could put around the pond (no matter what it is) I will pay for postage and send you a suprise once it all gets going!

Thanks, Traci S

I didn't hear about your pond, but it sounds so sad! I have some Decatur reds (maybe Decatur yellows) that are coming up. I'd be glad to send them to you for postage. They multiply pretty fast, but I wouldn't call them invasive.

Traci I dont have too many different things this year, but, I still have some unknown light purple iris, flore pleno daylily(orange w/ about 6 sets of petals, and I know I have something else but dont remember what. Have some unknown hosta(large green leaves with large white flowers), I think thats about it. Oh, I bought some clematis and dwarf canna riozomes(sp?) Traci,

I have a number of bulbs up now that, as I recall, are Dutch Iris, but I'm not certain. They come up every year and look real healthy, but never bloom. I'm from central GA and moved to NW FL. I did not realize that they don't do well here in FL. Probably too warm. Plus, my garden has become really shady now, so this might contribute to the problem.

I would be happy to pass them along to you if you want them. I can't promise success, but I believe in a bit cooler, sunnier environment, they might bloom well.

LMK if you are interested.

want a couple yellow flag iris (Iris pseudacorus)?
or.. some wild taro (colocasia esculenta)? lol
i've got a surplus of both of those :)
and they both would *love* living in or around a pond
actually.. they're both living in just water around here, no dirt at all...
:)

Traci - would you be interested in any hostas??? I moved from a large yard last fall to a small yard and have ALL my hostas in pots and they are coming up everywhere. I have over 100 different hostas.

O Traci it sounds like they are going to have you covered up in plants in no time flat!!!

I'm gonna just say Thanks to all that are here helping Traci with her replacement plants. She was crushed when she found out about all her babies being covered up/and or stolen.
I went by her house Sunday and her pond is coming right along. Between all of you, her pond will be looking beautiful before ya know it!
Thanks ya'll.

Just wanted to post here and tell all ya'll that Traci just left here with a truck load of plants I gave her and then went next door to her dad's old house and loaded up on even more plants and trees from over there. So she'll be VERY busy planting for at least a day or 2. She really has a ton of stuff to plant, she really has her work cut out for her too!

So ya'll don't give up, if you haven't heard form her. She'll be back as soon as she can to answer all your postings and e/mails.

:) Happy Planting Traci!

HEY EVERYBODY, I JUST WANTED TO SAY THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING, AND FOR BEING SO GENEROUS AND KIND. I ALWAYS KNEW I LOVED ALL OF U GUYS HERE AT DAVE'S, AND NOW I KNOW JUST HOW MUCH AND WHY. IT HAS REALLY MEANT SO MUCH TO ME THAT YOU HAVE ALL OFFERED ME ALL OF THESE PLANTS, AND WHENEVER MY BROTHER WAS SO SICK ALL OF YOU PRAYED FOR HIM SO MUCH ,AND I SENT HIM A COPY OF ALL OF THE PRAYERS AND HE CRIED TEARS OF JOY, TO KNOW THERE WERE STILL SO MANY GOOD PEOPLE IN THE WORLD. AND, EVEN THOUGH HE DID PASS AWAY, I BELIEVE THAT ALL OF THE PRAYERS GAVE HIM 2 YEARS OF HIS LIFE THAT HE WOULD NOT HAVE HAD.
I DON'T WANT TO GET ALL MUSHY, BUT I AM OK WITH THE FACT THAT HE HAS PASSED AWAY, AND IN HEAVEN WITH OUR MOTHER, AND HE ISN'T HURTING ANYMORE. I GUESS WHAT I AM TRYING TO SAY, IS THAT WHENEVER SOMETHING HORRIBLE HAS HAPPENED TO ME, IT HAS BEEN ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE BEEN THERE THRU THICK AND THIN.. AND TO ME, THAT IS WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A GOOD PERSON WITH THE UPMOST CHARACTER..... THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH

LAST NIGHT I WAS ABLE TO GO TO MY OLD HOUSE, NOT THE ONE WHERE MY POND WAS, BUT THE HOME I GREW UP IN. AND THAT IS WHERE MOLLYBEE AND I WERE NEIGHORS FOR SO LONG, AND THAT IS WHERE I STARTED TO GARDEN. AFTER MY MOTHER PASSED AWAY, I TRIED TO KEEP THINGS GOING FOR MY DAD, AND THEN HE GOT REMARRIED AND MY HUSBAND AND I MOVED THERE. LAST NIGHT I GOT MY BIG JAPANESE KERRIA JAPONICA, AND MY SWEET HUBBY GOT MY TULIP TREE THAT WAS ABOUT 9-10 FT TALL. AND, MOLLY LOADED ME UP WITH LOTS OF PERRENIALS. EVEN THOUGH I LOST MY FISH,, AND ALL OF MY AQUATIC PLANTS, AND LOTS OF OTHER PERRENIALS, I HAVE GAINED AND LEARNED ALOT FROM THIS. SO, I KNOW THAT THINGS DEFINITELY HAPPEN FOR A REASON. AND, THIS TIME, IT HAS JUST BROUGHT ME CLOSER TO THE FRIENDS I HAVE WHO REALLY MATTER.

WELL, I WILL BE REPLYING TO ALL OF YOU, AND MY NEW POND IS BIGGER THAN THE OTHER ONE AND THE YARD HERE IS ABSOLUTELY HUGE. SO, EVEN THOUGH IT'S LIKE I AM STARTING OVER, I AM NOT MAD ANYMORE. I HAVE JUST LEARNED ALOT OF GOOD LESSONS.

THANKS TO ALL OF YOU,
TRACI S
