In my note on Iris I mentioned that Mollie had bone cancer which we treated back in November and that we thought might have come back. We did x-rays on Mollie today and I'm sad to say that she has two new tumors in her lungs. I cried and cried this afternoon. I was afraid, from the way she was acting that she was declining again. Just in the last three days she seems to tire more easily.
We're going to treat her with steroid and pain meds for as long as she does well with them. I'm going to love the heck out of her for however long we have. It's really unfair! Thank you all for your prayers. I feel very grateful.
The picture below is of Iris and Mollie after some serious rough housing. It was taken last spring. Mollie is the very tuckered out looking one in the front.
The two of them were such great pals while Iris was still here.
