Surely NOT a hard plant to care for. Don't even remember HOW I got this plant and I hardly take care of it. It's in a pot growing and growing.......dropping seedlings ALL over in the yard. Have never seen it flower yet. I guess I'll give it a chance to show me it's flower before I get rid of it!!!

I had it growing in Lecanto, Fl. ,near Crystal River, and thought it was exotic looking. It grew outdoors against the house in full sun. I loved the purple and red of the flowering bract[?] . Do you have seeds to send me? I don't think plantlets will make it . Loved your photo.

Happenstance is in the middle of a big move so may not respond to this for a while if she even has this one anymore since it's over 2 years ago. You know how we nutty plant collectors are, always moving things out to make room for new things! Well, for me any ways as I don't have enough room for all the things I want to collect!
