when will it fork?

Can anyone tell me if this is normal? I keep expecting it to branch out, but it does not seem unhappy as a stick.

Sorry, I am brug-illiterate. :( What does that mean?

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

You have to be patient. It is up to the plant to close up the growing and start flowering.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL. Not unhappy as a stick!! LOL

It can get very tall before it Ys. That is what I love, so you get a tree instead of a bush. My preference in brug form. I would feed it more and get some good leaves on it to make energy for your plant. But it is looking good!

I have a couple that look like yours, but I've been through it before and know that they will eventually become great looking plants. Hang in there......you will be happy you waited patiently.

Thanks everyone. So I guess this is normal in the life of a brug tree. My others are obviously bushes then. Good to know. It is just starting to leaf out after surviving the winter outside. I left it in its pot next to the garbage can so it would know who was boss. Everytime I babied it, it got infested with spider mites & aphid. I would set it by the garbage can & tell it "YOUR OUTTA HERE, YOU PAIN IN THE*#@$" and it would straighten right up! That has been the only place that I can get my brugs to thrive & be bug free. I move them 2 feet away from the can & WHAM! LOL I must have high falutin insects that refuse to hang out around the garbage can.
So I guess now that I have committed to planting them, this one is reasserting its authority. :) I will just have to force myself to be patient.

Wow, Badseed sounds like you have your hands full. I hope your children are soon well. Take care.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Yes, get those kids well so your DH and others don't have to worry about them. Besides you want everything going smoothly when you bring the baby home. I'm so anixous to hear that she is here and all went well.

Chele,
are you gloating? LOLOLOL Sassy girl, you! :) I may not be a brug fan, but I am a gardener & I just could not make the move from beside the can, into the can. But that is not to say planting the stinker won't kill it! LOL Or it will just keep getting taller & I can climb the thing to the giants castle! And Root, thanks for the info, I marked the calendar for the 1st, but I suspect that you will be shouting April Fools to me when I tell you guys that nothing happened! I am soooo gullible. :) NOT!
