Kell, here is what the brug leaves look like growing in TX soil. These are on the leeward side of the garden, they are sheltered from the wind and the leaves didn't get quite so beaten up. This is Citronella.

Here is Gold Rausch.
Both of these were frozen back to the soil line during the move, but are growing and recovering nicely.

Funny they would freeze when they finally are escaping to heaven! LOL

They sure look like they love it there. You are going to have so many flowers!

Trust me it was cold the night before she left. We got up and the poors plants where shaking in there pots trying to warm up.

Susie, Goldrausch is out of a very interesting cross. She is not prone to SB at all while her father and grandmother are highly prone to it. Goldrausch is sterile and a poor pollen producer.

Oh, now I know why those beautiful seeds didn't come up! Doggone it! The pods were beautiful, full of seeds that had no germ in them!
I love the flower on Gold Rausch though, it's huge!!!

Yes, it is a beautiful flower. Boy, planting all those seeds ended up being a waste of time, didn't it? I wonder what made this plant sterile?

Brugie, the worst thing is, I had two pods!!!

Ouch!!

I never had pods on Goldrausch. Not even last year, when the humming moths showed up for the first time up here.

Monika, have you been able to use the pollen? I love the color of this one. Nice picture, Susie!

Here's one at Insigns Pink last summer.

Wow what a great shot! I love hummers! Your bloom looks huge

I adore watching the hummer moths. I get so many of them all over. Especially right before dusk. Monster Brug and Whiskers seem to be the favorites I guess because they have such a heavy scent.

Great picture. I wonder what surprise will come in the pod he may have just created. LOL!!
