Pruning question for Monika

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

These are some of the brugs that got frozen back to the pot during the move to TX. They are putting out all kinds of new growth from the root zone. I thinned out a few of the sprouts, but wasn't sure how many to take off and how many to leave. Do I leave several to grow, then decide on the strongest? Is an alley tree possible now? This is L'Amour

L'A sure has big healthy leaves! Must love Texas! Is your soil great there Cala?

Yes, soil is very rich and dark sandy loam. The leaves on these brugs look a bit tattered from the wind storm we had a few weeks ago though.
One bad side to rich soil, the weeds grow as fast as the brugs so don't look at the weeds in the pics.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Don't see any weeds, 'course I never see any dust on furniture either!

Plants looking good.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Susie, how did they get froze on the move?
You didn't hold them all on your lap next to the heater?

CC, I tried to put them all in the cab, but they wouldn't fit. These were in the horse trailer. It was supposed to be 40* that night, but instead went to 26* and stayed below freezing till past Meridian, MS. They froze, I lost my orchids, some ears and gingers and some brug seedlings. I will know next time not to listen to the weatherman!!
