if i offended someone by asking for a brug or two for my mom i am sorry.
my hubby said i got an email last night after i went to be saying i offended someone by asking for a brug or two.
he wouldnt let me see the email as he said it wasnt polite for me too see.
i am sorry if by asking i did hurt someones feelings. i just didnt want my mom to pay 15.00 for them when i know i could find some cheaper.
if the person who has grasiously offered wants to pull out i understand.

Marie I'm so sorry that happened to you. I would gladly give you some cuttings for postage but it will have to be later in the season as they have to grow back from winter as for most of us. I sent out about 2000 cuttings last fall and gave away 75 3 to 5' plants I had rooted for the spring swap that I ended up not being able to attend and were to big to take to the fall swap in Georgia. Spring is just a bad time to ask for them.
Holy Cow Donna!! That is a lot of cuttings and plants. I was one of the lucky ones to get cuttings from you and am anxious to see them bloom this year.
Sorry this happened to you I dont have brugs growing as yet but have some seeds from generous traders I can share with you. Some people are just unthinking Shirley
As I said in my e-mail. I am doing this because I want to. I am very happy I have one to send. You see my screen name and that is hope to stand for. The other person had no business being so rude. I have gotten cuttings by asking. If that person still has trouble with this they can e-mail me. But I will tell them that the Jesus I love teaches love. The fruits of the spirit lists many but the greatest of these gifts is love. Imzadi had not shared with me that her mom is very ill, till after she received saying she offended someone. Well I am doing this as I was led It is pleasing to Jesus when we ask for others (mothers) And when we answer. He is the only one I care if I please. I love people and I love to help when I can.
This was not meant to offend but I don't feel we sometime we speak when we should listen.

I have no brugs, but I'm wondering who the heck would be offended because you ask for something? That person needs to re-examine their ethics.
I ask for things all the time, and I expect people to say "yes" or "no" and have done. And people ask for things from me all the time, too, and I say "yes" (usually) or "no" and I always say why if its a no.
I am terribly sorry anyone was so messed up in the head they were "offended" because someone asked for something.
Don't let them affect you too much, Marie - if anything, pity them, because they have a shallow spirit.
I think it is wonderful that you are thinking about your mom. I lost mine eleven years ago and wish every day that I could talk with her and share with her.
Don't let one nasty email bother you.

dont feel bad...some ppl get offended.....the bad part is when a person asks, then someone offers then never emails you or anything with where to send the postage or even a few bucks...i have some seedlings(really small)and will gladly send you one or 2 when they are big enuff for shipping...im new to these myself and i sure hope to get more....email me and we can get something in the works.....i have been there done that, in your shoes before.....

Don't feel bad about asking. There will be those that have a problem when people ask for "free" plants, as they see it. But as you can see yourself, most gardeners are always willing to help others out and happily share. If someone should have a problem with giving to someone who asks in a post then that person should not even read the post....they know who they are. To send you a private email and being rude to you is just plain rude. My 2 cents,

imzadi, I hope this answers any doubts you might have had. If we have it we will let you know if we dont we will let you know. Myself, I have a problem of sending out so much I almost deplete my stock. LOL. I just love to trade and meet new people here. Dont be afraid to ask. Now if I could practice what I preach Id be in the annuals forum asking for lantana. LOL
I agree Dravencat. If someone askes for something and I am willing I'll reply....if I don;t want to get involved I just keep my fingers away from the keyboard.
I still can't believe someone felt the need to insult Imzaudie for simply asking for a SASE/postage on a brug.

I got my lantana from this place last year. So cheap compared to paying $2 each at the nursery. I had plenty for myself and gave bunches of them away to friends/neighbors/and the Iowa Roundup people.

I bought the plugs, but found that cuttings are so much cheaper and if ordered in time, they will root and be blooming in no time.
