Good morning folks,
It's a lot quieter here this morning than it was yesterday. We had such a wind yesterday that one of the cedar trees south of the house went down, right on top of my clothes line. It just missed the house by a few feet. If I had my way, the rest of those ugly cedars would be down today. Of course, the dry one right next to it is still standing, but hopefully, not for long. The wind was horrible all day long and finally last night, it quit blowing.
I think we are going to have to tube feed another calf this morning. He's just not doing very well. No spunk in him at all. Mama's got a huge bag, so he should be getting enough milk. DH will probably also give him a shot of calf booster.
My chicks are growing like crazy. They are eating me out of house and home.
It was almost 75 degrees yesterday. The tulips are coming up and the fruit trees are getting bud on them. I'm always afraid that the fruit trees will get nipped after they start blooming. That's happened several times and we haven't had much fruit. We'll see what happens.
Guess I better get moving today. I'm getting into spring cleaning and by the looks of the walls, I'm going to be doing lots of painting this year.
Mini - how are your chickens?? Did they hatch yet or did I miss it??
Wvdaisy, how are your puppies?? My nephew lost a dog to parvo. Poor dog really suffered.
Think spring everyone. I'm going to go see if my roses rooted under my quart jars. I thought I saw some green under them the other day.
