This is my first year to grow Becca Lynn and it is lovely. Very good bloomer even in greenhouse. Hybridizer, Gloria Lessner, USA.
spring gh blooms
This is a very nice picture indeed.
Beautiful! I love that shade of yellow...looks like it turns a little coral as it ages?
Great picture, Barb.
Beautiful picture Barb. You just can't beat that black background.
Yes, the contrast is excellent. So pretty. Nice to have Glory mentioned all the time.
Such a pretty one, I have it coming from a good trader.
Very nice to hear that name mentioned, I think of her often.
Gloria
Hi,
I want a very heavily blooming brugs, and since I only
have room to overwinter one, which one will be the
best bloomer? (I am a zone 6b-7a Smokey Mountains
with nighttime 25-30 temp. drop.)
Thanks,
Jeannette
When I make a post, I have been trying to make an effort to mention the hybridizer, if I know the information, That way it will become linked to the name of the flower. Just a thought-so our hybridizers get some recognization.
Very lovely!
Beautiful picture Barbara!
Detail freak here really appreciates the hybridizer information! And any other information about these wonderful plants :))
How did you get the black background? Is it a night photo?
Daylight=black cotton velvet.
Thanks. It's a beautiful photo!
Excellent photo Barb. I really like this one also . . sure miss Gloria and wish I could call her. I am so happy that she left behind many wonderful brugs to remember her by and sharing so many with others.
czechbookblues, you can't go wrong with the one shown on this thread.Becca Lynn blooms ,for me,with a hugh flush of flowers about once every 6 weeks during the warm season.
Gorgeous photo Barbara! Love that black background
Barb, you never cease to amaze me with you great closeup pics. :-)
Thank you=======I enjoy photographing the flowers almost as much as I do growing them. How have you been and what are you growing. I know you must have some wonderful new hybrids.
Beautiful picture as always Barb.
Barbara, I have try and buy some black Velvet. Your pictures are gorgeous.
Barb that's beautiful. Your pictures are always great.
WOW! I'm a "wannabee" photographer trying to learn more and more. I too enjoy trying to get the perfect picture of a plant as much as I do growing them. In the past, I've had to try and edit photo's to insert a backdrop to emphasize the flower and not trash it up with a chainlink fence. I had to get a fence for the kids and dogs and our lot is so big, a privacy fence(easier on the eye than chainlink) wasn't an option due to price. Now I'm going to build a frame to stretch a velvet "canvas" over. That idea will also make it easier for some of us that get better results using all the automated features on the camera. With this velvet, auto focus will zoom in on the flower alone and not any background stuff.
Thanks for the tip and the wonderful pictures!
Jeff
Oh praying mine comes back. So far nothing when most everything else is showing signs of growth
Donna-if it doesn't make it let me know. Taking cuttings.
Thanks Barbara. I put some on the west side of my propery and it was really to much sun for them. A few totally died and others started doing poorly. Waiting to see whats coming back so I can dig them up and move them.
Wow Cindy yours is really orange looking or is it my screen??
Becca Lynn looks so pretty. Does anyone grow Jesse Noel next to it? i would love to know the difference. I have Jesse Noel and I just love that flower.
beautiful picture barb!
Think Jessie Noels' bloom is much larger than Becca Lynn.
Cindy, that is a gorgous bloom. I love the way the tendrils curl so nicely. I hope mine will bloom this year since I've never seen a bloom in person.
Bward, beautiful photo. I must try to get some black velvet for a background, yours is wonderful. Donna
Very nice
Cynthia, beautiful plant. Can't wait to see mine bloom outside.
