I was recently told that a plant I found in a forest nearby was a Furcraea. Although right now I don't have a photo, by next time I will. I would like to know if you can identify this plant for me. I shot this in the US Virgin islands.

That looks like a Cordyline relative- never seen one that color, but looks like one in the detail of leave shape and the way they come off the stem.

Here's a foto, don't know why it came out so fuzzy, but you can view some details like the hooked spines. This is the one that is said to be a Furcraea.

Hello,
Can you explain the difference between F. roezlii and F. bedinghausii please? I have two young plants growing in my garden, one of each sp. but they both look the same. The 'roezlii' may be slightly darker blue looking than the other.
Thank you
X

PS xeronema

It seems Furcraea roezlii and Furcraea bedinghausii and also Furcraea parmentieri are all the same plant.
