Another Word question. (Still patient w/me?)

I've tried, and tried. It won't slow down!

Lookee here. When I have a document written, and want to copy and paste (or even copy and cut!) some of it, as long as what I'm copying is on the initial screen that I can view it works. However, when I am high-lighting a portion of what I want to copy and the rest requires scrolling upwards (or downwards) out of the viewing area, it won't let me stop where I want to...it quickly jumps to the beginning (or ending, if going downwards) of the document.

I've tried starting at the bottom and scrolling up, I've tried from the top scrolling down, but no matter, it seems to want to JUMP to either the beginning or the ending. In other words it won't let me scroll/select one line at a time. What gives?

Any idea?
