My old "Lady"

My mother is bringing my old lady parrot to live with us this weekend. She's 34 years old. My brother thinks she won't live through the transition. Any advice. I am the only one who still pets and loves on here when I'm home. Mom has kept her away from everyone secluded in a bedroom for years. We want to put her in the living room so she can socialize and watch out the windows. Let me know what y'all think. I was raised with this baby, from 6 years until I left for the Army at 18. Do you think she'll do well with me again?
