I met the cutest little boy at my work today he is 9 years old and his name is Justin. I was taking him back to see the DR. and when I went to weigh him he noticed the Garden Catalog's I had on my Desk and he just about went crazy!!!!
It turns out this little guy loves to garden, and he especially loves to start VEGGIES from seed! We had a great conversation and I told him all about DG and he told me all about how he compost's and plant's his seed's! LOL
I was pretty impressed with him and was thinking that if anyone has some extra seed's that they could send him I know he would be thrilled!!!
I asked his mom if it would be o.k for some friends of mine to send him some seeds and she said O.K.!!
I will gladly send postage to you if you are able to help out!
Here is his address:

Will be sending out some seeds to Justin tomorrow :)
Sounds like a plan for the little Prof., I'll send you some tomato, Basil, Parsley, and some good ole' peppers, and a little eggplant(Black Beauties), and while we are at it, some cucumbers, they're easy to start. Danny
I gladly share seed with Justin. From what you say he has developed a keen interest in growing plants; this is the kind of interest we should nourish in all children. Great for Justin!

they are now on way well in p.o. box... so be going.. tulsa service sucks..
Darn...wish I had seen this earlier, I coulda got the littler feller hooked on heirlooms! τΏτ
Shoe, I'm new, but I'm OldSchool, next year it's all heirlooms. Now I'm getting a feel for gardening, 400 years and beyond to now, those vegetables will be the choice of mine. Now I know I have the time to grow them, I'm going back to my roots, heirlooms Baby...Shoe and Carolyn, you now have a new member of the Heirloom team, let's keep it going forever. Shakespeare withstood the test of time, so will/do heirlooms. Danny
Justin told me his Second Favorite thing in the World is a John Deere tractor!!
He has a big collection of them and is saving his money to buy a real one someday, so heirlooms in his case are NOT out of the question!!!!!!!
sue
Yay, John Deere! (I got one, too!)
Danny, I'm sure you can find some heirlooms for this year, no sense puttin' it off. (THey're gonna getcha anyway sometime!) :>)
Just caught this thread and I'm thinking some unusual but tasty stuff I've got will be in Monday's mail.
Thank's to all of you who have sent Justin seed's, I spoke to him mom today and she was getting me the name's of everyone so we can thank-you!!!!!!
She said he just about went through the roof when the pack's started to roll in!!!! LOL

Mine's going out in tomorrow's mail. Lettuce & green peppers. I'll bet he flipped out at all those seeds coming in.
Mine are going out tomorrow. Cabbage, Turnip, Mustard, Carrot, Corn, Green Beans, Rutabaga, Okra, Cucumber, Squash, Broccoli, Collards. I hope he has fun growing them.

I sent him several different things last month. Didn't put My DG name on the package, just my real name. :-) I'm sure he'll realize where it's from, and not think there is a crazy lady from Ohio sending him seeds out of the blue. :-)
I threw in a john deere... I hope he gets it... (Just Kidding) He sounds like me as a kid I would curl up in the early spring and read the Burpee catalog with my Grandma... Screwed me all up. Now I spend way too much time with the garden...
Hey - that's close to my old home town! I didn't see this when it was originally posted, but I'm guessing he still won't mind getting some more so will be sure to send some out to him as well.
Karen
