I'm hoping that darius or someone knows about fluoridated water.
One of my books suggests drinking only steam-distilled water, because the fluoride in drinking water can compete with iodine in the thyroid and make thyroiditis worse. Well, I get tired just thinking about hauling all that drinking water home! I do a lot of my shopping on foot right now, and no way could I do that with gallon containers of water.
We use a Brita water filter now and filter all the drinking water (both straight and for tea) through it, though I still use cooking water straight from the tap usually. Our water is hard, chlorinated, and fluoridated. Should we bite the bullet and start hauling home steam distilled drinking/cooking water?
