Shenandoah Canna

Lake Havasu City, AZ(Zone 10a)

I am trying hard to find a Shenandoah
Canna. Does anyone know where I can find one?

Here is a place that sells it. http://www.karcheskycanna.com/shenandoah.htm

Thanks...that's the only site that I could find it listed but they don't have any available and are unsure when they will.

Shoot. I shouldn't have stopped looking.

Guess it didn't do any good to look further. I'll bet you have checked every web site that even mentioned it. Hope you can find it, but it isn't looking good. Wish I had it, I'd share.

*G* Thanks Brugie. You're right...I've searched just about every website that I could find that even mentioned cannas.
Old House Gardens is trialing them and hope to offer them eventually but they don't know when. They are so beautiful I wonder why they became 'all-but-lost' as Oldhouse calls them?

I don't know much about cannas, but I would hate to see this one go away. It is very pretty. I like any canna that has big blooms. Good luck. I hope you are able to get one soon.

It really is pretty! If anyone gets one and collects seeds from it and would like to share, count me in!

I grow 'Shenandoah' ..
Though probably developed here in PA long ago by Leon Wintzer .. it too me years to find it. #1 on my want list a long long time. Had to go to out of the US to bring it back. My friend Keith, UK gave it to me so I have it ((*))
Last year the first extra stock was shared. This season has to recoup until more is grown.
Patience will bring more. I have had enought to wait it out. LOL
Shenandoah is a hybrid. Seeds will not grow true.

Seattle, WA(Zone 8b)

SharonF, I have a couple friends searching for it in Europe (for some reason it is more common there)......I will let you know what they find out.

Thanks for the offers of help to find it. I've fallen in love with it and just have to have it. Anyone know why it is so hard to find?
