Welcome Peat, myLittle Sister

Lexington, NC(Zone 7a)

Welcome to Dave's Garden sis, there are a lot of good folks in here and I am sure you will enjoy them.

Her name is Shirley and she lives in Yuma, Arizona. She has a lot to learn about Dave's and how to use it. Any help given her will be appreciated.

Hi Shirley (Peat) So glad to have you here in the garden. I look forward to getting to know you and what your plant loves are. My first love is true lilies, followed closely by daylilies. Of course IF I was to be 100% honest I would have a list entirely too long to post. Once More, WELCOME!

Well shut mah ever-lovin' piehole!

Welcome to DG, Peat! Come on in and have seat!

Jump right in and make yourself at home. Glad to have you here. (Plus we can always use someone else to keep Sparks in check...are you aware he's a crazy sort? Shhh...it's a secret!)

We've got some other members in Az...for some reason I bet you might meet some of them someday!

shirley - welcome aboard. we in new york say hello.

Thanks so much for such an endearing welcome. As I hail from Nebraska, the things that grow here are much different. The trees in our yeard are tangelo, peach, apricot tangerine. However there are golfball size peaches on now and tangelo season is over with new buds on. The roses are doing well and ready to bloom after pretty severe pruning. Thanks again.

A big welcome to you Peat, you're gonna have so much fun here you will wonder what you did before. I chat on IM with Sparks and Horseshoe now and then.

more from Ia - welcome to the garden, it's a great place to be!

Lexington, NC(Zone 7a)

Just want to add my thanks for welcoming my sister. She is a normal person, not like her brother who finds it hard to behave himself sometimes. She still has a lot to learn in navigating Dave's Garden but it wont take her long.

Thanks Again,

(Zone 5a)

Welcome Peat, I know that you will enjoy surfing around to get to know all the different things that are offered here, so sit back and enjoy.

yuma, AZ(Zone 9a)

Thanks again for the welcome. We are in the midst of freezing peaches and canning tomatoes.....lots of peaches but few tomatoes. With temp hovering at 100 won't be doing too much outside. Any ideas for peach desserts other than cobbler or pie?

Moab, UT(Zone 6b)

Hey Peat, welcome to another desert gardener. You're even warmer than me. Up here it's high desert country, means it gets wayyy cold in the winter and then spring goes buy whizz and it's time for it to get warrrrm. I love it here!!!!

My roses are blooming their heads off and the perennial ground covers are doing the pink and blue thing all over the place.

Figure to spend some evenings wandering around in Dave's Garden... it's a great place.

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

Peat...howdy!

If you post your dessert question in the Recipes Forum there's no doubt you'll get lots of suggestions. I'll be keeping an eye out for ya over there.

(Hopefully we'll get more peaches this year than the tree rats do!)

(Zone 5a)

Hey Peat how about making some peach jelly and peach slush drinks. I don't know if your a drinking person but you can also make peach wine.
