This is a new plant, shipped about two weeks ago. The new growth looks like this. I know this plant can be easily overwatered but I don't believe this is the case. Too little water? Also it is not sunburn. Could it just be the trauma of shipping or lack of fertilizer? I have not fertilized it since I got it. Thanks! I don't want to lose this one.
Tigrina trouble
I've not had that one, but I would probably go ahead and cut that leaf off. Maybe it is just coming to the end of the road. Hope it will be okay.
This was a new leaf. I wonder if it got injured before emerging during shipping. One other older leaf is like this but it looks like an injury. There are no signs of pests.
Bet that could be it. I don't think it is something that is going to continue. Is that a new leaf coming out already? The shape of those leaves is amazing. I'll bet by mid summer it will be really full and gorgeous.
Yes, it was just peeking out when it arrived. So tht seems to be the only thing I can think of. It really is a neat plat the way it points skyward!
hey please let me know what you find that works for yours cause mine looks very unhappy....
I finally put mine on a cookie sheet with gravel and that on top of a heating pad..it is finally coming back up now, but i don't know if maybe I should plant it outside now or not??
Any sugesstions would be great.
Thanks

I lost my Tigrina. To cool and to wet. Same thing with my Alocasia zebrina reticulanta. Any one with robust growing ones-would love to have new starts. Have other varieties of alocasia, colocasia and xanthosomas to trade.
perhaps a fertilizer burn? how are the next leaves progressing?

I don't feel too badly about mine being sick, since a few others had trouble too..Thought I had the "curse".lol
I think I will plant it out in the garden when it comes up and warms up...if it makes enough babies I will do a trade .Let ya know.
Thanks

It has not been fertilized. I think I will repot it from the nursery pot. Should I add peat and perlite to the Miracle Gro?
