Strange bedfellows & littermates

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Last week, we saw a segment on Animal Planet regarding the Sriracha Tiger Zoo in Thailand. They have over 200 Bengal tigers and 100,000 crocodiles on their 100 acres (that seems like an awful lot of crocs, doesn't it?). The unique part was how the cubs are raised with pigs as their surrogate mothers; they showed sows reclining with both piglets and tiger cubs suckling side by side. It was quite sight to see! The zoo's official website is http://www.tigerzoo.com/ and there is a good picture of dinner time at this http://web.utk.edu/~ipanr/exchanges/thailand/2001utstudents/jun14pigsntigers.htm

What other strange combinations have you seen with animals, both as soulmates and surrogates? Share links if you have any - it'd be some fun surfing.
