Thanks, Seedpicker. I gave mine away as a housewarming present to a friend who had admired it. It was getting to be pretty large anyway. You might check your local nurseries and see if they will order one for you if they don't have it in stock.

I've checked and cannot find a source...No one has them around here, and cannot find one online...
Any chance you could tell me the name of the nursery that sold them to you?
I will be in CA in November. Maybe I could hunt one down, then.

Hi Seedpicker,

They used have them in one-gallon containers at Home Depot. I'm not sure if they still have them or not. I can check for you the next time that I go. They also have them at most GreenThumb/Green Arrow locations here in California. You can probably find a nursery near where you will be in November. Check this link: http://www.supergarden.com/locations.html Also check Target and Lowe's garden centers.

Home depot, target, and lowes probably have them in YOUR area, but do not sell them here in Northeast Texas.
I did click the link and plugged in the plant, and it showed no search results, but if that is where you bought yours, I'll go and look for one there, while we are there, ...just in case they still have some.
Thank you . That is a good start, anyway!

Seedpicker, I wish I could help you out more, but I no longer even have this plant. It got really big in a large container, and I had no where to plant it, and a friend admired it so I gave it to her as a housewarming gift. I'm sure that, if you visit a Green Thumb Intl. nursery here in California, you will find it. Also, I meant that, when you are here in California, check the Home Depot and Target locations near where you will be staying.

You've been a big help! Thank you!
Oh! A home depot, THERE! I get it...thanks, I will try it.
Thank you for all your help!

You're welcome:-) Let me know how it goes after your trip. I'm sure you will find it here. It seems to be pretty popular. I'll keep my eyes open for it in case I run across it at a mail order nursery.

Seedpicker_TX - Polygala can be found at Village Nurseries in Huntington Beach CA and Orange CA when you go to visit.

Just got back!
I found one at the really neat nursery in San Marcos, CA, called Buena Creek Gardens.
They listed it as polygala dalmaisiana.
Looks just like what you have, but different name.
love it!

Very cool! Congrats on your new plant. It is lovely. I originally listed my plant as Polygala dalmaisiana because I think that is what my tag said also. But someone reported it as an error, I think, and it was moved to Polygala myrtifolia. I don't know what the difference is between the two species off hand, but I bet you got the same plant that I did. Enjoy!

On second thought, this link below indicates that P. myrtifolia is the parent of the hybrid Polygala x dalmaisiana. I believe my plant was indeed Polygala x dalmaisiana. I'll have to ask Terry to move the pictures.

Thanks for the link...wish mine was myrtifolia, by that description, but oh well...it is a pretty purple, and I like the tinted new leaves, too.
Thanks for introducing me to such a great bush
