Aargh... my cats are using my raised beds for a litter box!

I went out to clean up my garden and discovered that my cats have been using my raised beds for a litter box because of the nice loose soil. Does anyone else have this problem? My husband thinks that we should build them their own mini-raised bed.. LOL! Any advice would be welcome unless it involves getting rid of the critters. I love cats but... YUK!
