Wanted: Vinca Minor(periwinkle)

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Anyone getting ready to thin or rip out vinca minor? I need a bunch to put on a steep slope. I can trade or send postage, but any plants that I send will be dormant, right now.

Are you talking about the vinca that spreads by runners, with small blue flowers? I have some that I could share come spring?

Seattle, WA(Zone 8b)

I rip it out by the hand fulls Dees....email me your address and I'll send you a bunch. We'll work out postage.........

I've got some that will need to be thinned soon too. Drop me an e-mail if you need more.

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Rikerbear, I just sent you an e-mail. Terre_ and Jody, I will let you both know when the weather warms up, if I need more. Thanks, to all of you, for responding!

I could use a bushel or so if anyone has extra!

Seattle, WA(Zone 8b)

I cleaned out of the bed just this past weekend and threw out a ton....I have enough to supply Dees with hers, but would need a few weeks to grow enough to trade anymore right now.
Maybe one of the others can help you Darius

Rikerbear, I just received an e-mail, saying that there is a problem, with people having a delay getting e-mails....and I haven't received yours, yet, but I will respond to you as soon as I do.

darius email me when you're ready for some.

I'm in no hurry. Last frost date here is May 15 so I'd like to get them in by then. I have a steep bank to do and probably need 100 starts.

L.A. (Canoga Park), CA(Zone 10a)

I don't know if I have major or minor, but I'd be glad to give starts to anyone. I won't have 100, but I'll probably have at least 20. I don't know when I'll be doing the vinca cleanup, but I can keep the starts alive until whoever wants them can take them. E-mail me at plantparadiseca at hotmail dot com if anyone is interested. A refund in the cost of postage is all I ask.

Kelli you have mail!

Maben, MS(Zone 7b)

darius, when you get ready for some vinca let me know and will send you some.

Jody and Ruth: Thanks to you both! I plan to do this probably in mid-April unless the weather warms up sooner.

Fayette, MO(Zone 6a)

I have plenty too if anyone needs some from me.

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

KathyJop... I may need starts form several people to get enough!

MD &, VA(Zone 7b)

Ok darius, just email your addy when you're ready.

Maben, MS(Zone 7b)

Just let me know and when the time is right for you.

Seattle, WA(Zone 8b)

Dee your large box of starts went out this morning (Saturday was a bust...rain)
I hope what I sent is enought o get you started. Most of what I sent you has roots, but should some of the rootless stems have made it in, just stick them in the ground. This stuff roots easily.
Enjoy!

I too have loads of vinca, I am intending to rip out a lot of it soon - probably much more than 100 starts. If any of you need some for SASE tell me, before I toss them.

south portland, ME(Zone 5b)

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

Wow! Am I ever glad I found this thread! I was going to ask for some Vinca minor and it appears there is a lot of it around. Does anyone have some left to send me? I have some ajuga and perhaps some obediant plant and a few blue flag dutch iris. Not sure about what else I may have later on......

Fort Dodge, IA(Zone 4b)

If anyone has any to get rid of, I'd like to get some. Just let me know. Thanks!
