Count the cucumbers! LOL

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I still have so many pods all over! I tried to get a pic with even more pods in it! I just love watching them grow! Has anyone grown out any Creamsickle X seedlings? I am wondering what we may get from them.

Kell, you have got to move to an acreage. LOL! That is a lot of pods.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

And there are many more on that tree. Creamisickle loves to pod. I need to look at my crosses. I think most are pink and I should have used yellow or orange i think. I may have one from my new yellow aurea. That would be a good match I would think.

WTG Kell !! I think you need to look at a place with some land, say 5 -10 acres or so.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

You need to retire.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

How about having a tasty cucumber salad LOL

How many pods do you have on Creamsickle? When you have choosen the pollinators carefully, these should be very promising seeds!!! Even for me.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Oh Shoot Monika, you know I did not pick the parents very carefully!! When it starts to flower again maybe you would be so kind as to point me in the right direction. Later I will go out and count the pods and see which ones survived. I know alot I made in the fall fell off.

Gloria, I agree!

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

Looks good Kell!!

What would be good to pollinate her with Monika?

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

What would you use to pollinate Monika? Hint, hint, I have Creamsickle blooming right now.

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Kell,I know your yard is way too small!I want you to send me half of them pods, then you can concentrate on what Monika tells you!

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

I would use both pure aurea and x candida but no versicolor.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

OH NO,thats what I crossed Creamsickle with......

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

A versicolor CC? So you had a tray of seedlings awhile back. how are they doing? I can send you seeds when these grow if I have crossess you like more. I need to go out and look. I will let you know.

My problem is that last year I crossed everything with PINK! LOL. I have no clue what is in Creamsickle's background. Does anyone?

If there is a pink, then I will be OK. But if just orange and white I could be so sorry. I bet L'Amour is one pink that has the genes that could make a good color with Creamsickle but it is not a pure aurea. Butterfly x L'Amour last year gave me a yellow so BF may be OK also for possibilities. Bu I know nothing. LOL

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

yeah, most of that tray of seedlings were Creamsickle X EP.....that about as Versi as you can get I think...some of them were crossed to a orange hybrid of Susies,no name yet,I call it SU partially for Susie, partially for Syracuse University Orange Men although why they picked orange men as a team name I'll never know, there aint no oranges growing up here except in GH's...LOL.The Native Americans made them change the names of things up here.....

But most of those seedlings are history anyhow, they froze to death when the plastic came away from the floor of the GH.I left little stubs where they didn't look dead all the way down but not holding my breath for anything to come from them.Theres probably 10 or 15 still alive and doing well......

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I just went out and counted my pods on my Creamsickle. I have 16, 2 are RK, 3 the tags fell off and the rest are L'Amour! LOL I know, I know!! I was way too stuck on L'Amour last year!

I guess the ABADS seed bank are going to get an awful lot of these! LOL

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

I have seeds drying right now for the seed bank too Kell! I had several ripen this week, took a few pictures today, so I will try to get to Wally-World in the morning. I picked Vixen pods, Golden Lady, and a couple more. Susanne is hanging on though..... It is so fuzzy, I can't wait for Susie to see it! It is huge!
