I can see some marginal thorns on your Agave.....but I don't see any thorns on Palmbob's Agave.

Since it's a hybrid, it's fairly variable. I have one in the garden that had thorns as a younger plant, but now seems to be losing them. Has about the stiffest leaves of any Agave I have seen, which makes its terminal spine all the more deadly (no give if you slam into it). I think you have the same plant.
