Double white

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I pollinated this double white with CG...hoping for a nice crop.......

also notice my double whites don't brown on the edges in the GH,unlike the summer blooms.......
this has been open a week and still looks great

the pod is on lake effect......not the double

Hey, Crestedchik,
Is that the seedpod resulting from your pollinating with CG?
My Double White and CG are also blooming and I’ve also tried my hand at pollinating DW with CG. I've never done hand pollinating, so I don't

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Hope it takes and you get a great one from your cross!

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

mainfrog, that pod is on my Lake effect, which happens to be right next to the double. The plants are so cramed in the GH its impossible to get a shot of a plant by itself.
I felt the bloom top and there kinda feels like a swelling...holding my breath......

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

CC, did the pollination take?

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

We're waiting anxiously CC????

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

NOPE,but new buds are coming out so I'll try,try again.....

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Oh too bad!! Is that the pod that went to Root?

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Nope, that one is still hanging there.......Lake Effect is extremely prolific.............literaly

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

and the seeds from it germinates like crazy! Root showed me all his babies from it!

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

I am sure, that you will be successful in pollinating this double. Winter pollinations do not take always.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Everyone I've sent seeds from it have had awesome germination....

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)
