Yay CC! Congratulations. My adeniums have leaves too but no blooms.

CC, I see it now.. Wonder if the colors will change as the flower ages ? I going outside to yell at mine!

is that what three kings looks like?

CC, I've only seen photos of 3kings and a wonder if your flower will go from white to pink to red-ish . and that's how 3 kings gets 3 shades of flowers on one plant.. keep us updated please : )

I appreciate the heads up on this thread being started. Grrrr.

What happened John? You let 5a NY, beat you to the bloom. *shaking head in dissapointment*

Congrats CC.

Here is how I'm understanding of the colors as of now. Let me preface it by saying, the info out of Thailand is often inaccurate, and by the time it's translated from Thai to Japanese, and passed down from a Kiwi, many things can and do change.

We initially thought the 3 Kings was 3 grafts on one root stock. Obviously, that's not the case. After following up, I'm under the impression that the flowers will change color as they age. Looking at yours, I'd expect it to be a bleed down effect, with that colored ridge fading down, and then fading in color to the 3rd color.

On a side note, nearly all of mine are finally setting leaves. I have one that developed a spot of rot, but it seems to be taking care of it. I've cut back the water on that one, and eventually the rotted spot will fall off, leaving a unique hole on the caudex. Either that, or it will die, leaving me with 9 of 11 still going strong.

Great CC!! Looking so good!

CC, Have they changed yet? I give up on the pots and going to slap mine in the ground as they grow like weeds here .. Check out how big the 'Beaumontia grandiflora' from Cala's Tropical Co-Op has got in the ground ; )

Here's a picture I just took today, the 3rd bud opened and looks just like the rest......

Maybe its 3 kings 'cause it blooms in 3's?LOL

Chris,I'm just happy I didn't kill it,but I am worried by letting it bloom it might be using to much energy

John ,I can't beleive the beaumontia gets that big, mines in the GH still small, but there is something she sent me ,as yet I can't find the tag ,but its gunna bloom.....
