Hughesville, MO(Zone 5a)

Time for a new thread with the correct date on it. We seem to get into a rut on this forum and let a thread get longer and longer rather than start a new one more often.

The weather is suppose to be pretty warm the next few days. Up into the upper 40s and low 50s then dropping again into the 30s. Looks like some rain/snow in the late weekend or early next week. Perhaps the chickens can go outside again for a few hours each day. The little cockrel has learned to crow pretty well and has begun to give us samples of his vocal abilities quite often, especially after it starts getting light in the mornings. Nothing quite hearing a rooster crowing in your utility room to wake you up.

It was a good report at the doctors yesterday. Then a return appointment for 6 months and will have an echocardiogram at that time. I finally got out about 2:30 in the afternoon. I was famished since I hadn't eaten since about 7 in the morning. I dumped the recycling stuff at Civic Recycling, retrieved about 8 or 9 gallon glass jars for the milk lady, then headed for The Great Wall to eat oriental buffet. I stopped at an aquantances house on the way home and took the labels off 15 boxes of 18 each 1 1/2" notebooks so we will be ready to put the labels, etc. on and the many pages of material into Thursday night. That woman and another one are doing the Local Emergency Operations Program for the whole state of Missouri. Each county gets 7 copies of the material. 6 in the notebooks and one in a binder. After we get all the binder filled, we go back and put in any corrected pages in each of them. If a county has many corrections it can get confusing. One had 10 for each notebook. We did 2 at a time for each notebook so we didn't get so mixed up. We did 21 last week and will do 30 this week. I doubt I'll help much if any after that as they are nearly finished with the project. But it was good money for a very easy job so I took it.

I get to work at the cafe' today so I need to get moving. I have to go to Sedalia to get fresh milk first which makes for some long drives today. Where I pick up milk is about 18-20 miles south of us and work is 11 miles north of us. I just take the milk with me in a cooler and bring it home after work. I'm so thankful for a good reliable vehicle, fuel and money to buy the fuel and good roads to drive on. Many people & nations don't have those blessings.

GOD bless and keep each of you.
