I have done most of my gardening in zone 6 the mountains of North Carolina and now find myself very close to the beach in South Carolina.I am also blessed to have 8 live oak trees on my property. In fact they take up most of the front garden. While I adore these trees the biggest problem they bring are many rodents with bushy tails who are probably the best fed critters in the Carolinas = half of what I plant.
I have already taken advantage of links from this web site and am very enthusiastic about being a member.

Hi again
Your picture is very close to where we live but there are no high rise buildings and we are about 3 blocks away from the ocean.
Yes I have been there in Garden City.. The low building in the photo is a restaurant I have been to.
Right now the wisteria should be blooming and pansies set out. Am I right?
