Looking for Plumeria

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

I somehow got a feeling it would be great to have a Plumeria/frangipani at home. I know there are plenty of growers especially in the US, so I thought to ask here. Is there anyone who would be pruning their Plumerias later in the Spring? I would love to try a few cuttings.. or seeds. But I'd prefer cuttings as they grow faster and it is tricky enough to get even the cuttings bloom here I guess ;)

I think it would be better wait until it warms up here.. maybe earliest in April it would be good to send them, to prevent any frost damages.

I can pay the postages etc or then I can send you some seeds in change or something else from Finland?

Check on Ebay....that's where I finally got mine. Only been a year so haven't had a bloom yet.... :-(

I can't use ebay.. it's a bit hard for someone living in Finland and not having a credit card. :(

Hmmmm...Ebay is International, and as long as you have a way to pay for items (send checks or money orders via the mail) you can use Ebay....credit card is not required.

typed in plumeria and got over 128 auctions....seeds rooted cuttings and cuttings ready to be rooted.

Nobody uses checks in Finland anymore and money order is way expensive. Maybe I just have to find someone...

Sorry...... :-(

I have a plumeria plant that came to me as a gift in January, but I don't have the conditions to grow it. I'd be happy to send it to you for the cost of shipping. Not quite sure how to ship to Finland, but I can find out. It's a beauty when it blooms. Google plumeria "Sunset" for a photo of the blooms. They a deep hot pink -- wish I could grow them!

I looked at U. S. Postal Service regs, and it says you can't send live plants to Finland. How do people get around this?

Hi! Luckily I got my Plumeria when I was on a vacation in Gambia :) But thanks for the offer.

Oh, and I have got plants from abroad many times, also USA, no problems so far :)

Revclaus,
I would love to have your plumeria. We would have to wait till weather warms.

Let me know.
Are you looking for something I may have?

Hi Sandy,
Weather warms up here about May 1st, could be as late as15th or so. If we have a warm spell for several days I can send it earlier. I'll be happy to send it to you. Can't think of anything I need ('course, that's always relative - lol). What do you have to offer? I have a north facing balcony. Here's a picture of it in bloom from Tropical Gardens of Maui.com which is where it was sent from.
