Just got a call from the Vet and Molly's leg isn't healing. RATS! She indicated that a specialist would have to put on an external fixator. Molly is a dog we adopted a month ago - she had been abandoned with a broken leg and other health problems.
I hate this for Molly as she is traumatized by going to the vet now. The vet said that she could keep her while the fixator is on, but I can't help but think that Molly would feel like she had been abandoned again.
No one is saying this - but I know that if this leg won't heal, then it will have to be taken off. I hope this isn't necessary, but if it is - - she'll get along just fine. Needless to say, this has me bummed out. Nat
