I just had a terrible experience at the dentist. I had this root canal which was really awful, my regular dentist did not want to believe it was real and then he was out of town. I went to a very good specialist. I have no complaints except for one of the office girls who did not speak English very well.
I told her, if I take Advil that it makes my stomach hurt and I was very clear about this with both of them. But, they did not want me to have anything stronger.
That night I was in such horrible pain, and of course, I took 3 Advil which caused knife like pains in my stomach, which are still continuing to plague me. When I called the office this same girl told me to just take more Advil, and I started screaming I have a bad stomach, that is B A D, bad, and I can't take anymore Advil.
Finally, the doctor was paged and he gave me a stronger pain killer and Vioxxx, but I have a full trail of Voixx, and I can't take Voixx either. I did have some cortisone left over, so I took that for the inflammation and I hope it was the correct thing to do. It does feel better, but now I am in horrible stomach pain, and it will probably last a few days like this.
Then the other office girl says why don't you take it was food, and I was screaming, of course I take it with food, I always take it with food.
Then it got even worse, the office girl who could not speak English, would not let me have the medication, and she screamed that I had called her a "bad word" which I had not done so. Maybe it was because she could not understand English she thought I had called her a bad word? So many Americans would really like her job and can speak English, so why does she have the job and Americans remain unemployed? It would not be so bad if she was working at Target or something, where people's health is not at risk.
I had to call my other dentist office, just to get the prescription to the pharmacy. I can actually take Advil at certain times in limited amounts, however, due to the pain, I had been taking it for a while before the root canal and this increase in Advil was enough to push my stomach over the edge. It is so upsetting when no one believes the pain that I am in. I can't believe that I had to resort to screaming just to get help I needed.
I also end up gaining weight from this pain, due to the fact, I have to constantly eat chesse every few hours to help with the pain.
