Have any of you been approached by this organization? Are they legit? Is their publication any good? Any info would be appreciated.

actually it appears it is the national home gardening club
I have read about it as being a venue for selling garden books..and that they keep sending you books even though you have sent back the form saying no thank you. But there are some good comments too.
I would do a search on Google for what people have to say.

Don't go there it is like another Doubleday Book Clb. I was contacted in the mail and wasn't too happy!
A couple of years ago I got a bunch of mail from them. I recycled it. Then I got a bunch of mail saying that I was a member and pay up. It went on for about 4 months. Ignored them. Eventually they went away. It was what they call reverse billing. If you don't reply they consider you signed up. Hopefully they don't do that anymore.
