Anyone know its name? I had it in a container with a couple of aralias but it wants to be a big plant so out it came.
Another "assorted" Tropical
Hiya Frogrus,
My best guess ;>}would be a baby Monstera plant..they don't usually get holes in the leaves until they are a little bigger...
Good luck,
MsCritterkeeper
It looks a lot like my Spathyphylum....by the crown at the base of it! Elaine ....just a suggestion
It looks like an anthurium plant I have.
its a seedling monstera. :-)
That being the case, I will put it in a yet bigger pot. It is already trying to escape this one. Thanks all.
Morning frogs!
Why not just stick it in the ground? It ought to do really well in SD. Here's mine in 9b SF.

They are not picky at all.....you could probably just lay it on the ground and it would soon root itself and stand up. LOL
Take another look at the pic of mine, in the left center foreground you can see where it is sending out those aerial roots, it uses those to "balance," grab onto nearby trunks, and eventually some of them will go underground. Mine is still blooming and doing well with our lows of about 40F and no frost (yet) again this year.
Forgot I wanted to tell you that mine was a very sad house plant that had been brutalized in a move in 100+ July, sat out in the sun and got burned, then sat in a neglected corner and forgotten. That fall I dumped it out in the dirt off the projected patio, moved it a couple time during construction of the patio and again when the sunroom was added.....tough as nails and indestructible.

I have a "damp" spot in my yard where three yards come together so it gets everyones water. Would it tolerate that?
Sorry, we must have been typing right along side each other....mine gets quite a bit of water and some full sun, but quite a bit of afternoon shade. With more sun, they tend to not have that shiny pretty green, turn tougher and have more yellow tones to the green. As long as it's not sitting in muck it should do fine, particularly if it can "crawl" up to drier ground if it needs to.
Sounds like the ticket then. It would get morning sun only there. Thanks.
