I'm sure once spring gets going good, I'll have plenty of Pecan tree seedlings. I usually have to pull out dozens of them thru out the year. Let me know so I can let some of them grow or else I'll be yanking them outta there.

I have some Burning Bush seedlings available. They are about 12-15" tall.

Edgewater, MD(Zone 7a)

Come spring I know Ill have some laceleaf japanease maple. I posted it in the trees and shrubs forum too to see if anyone will be interested. Just let me know.

Mollybee, do you know if those pecans do good in 7a? Id like to try them or some walnuts if I could find those.

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

I too am in zone 7a and they do wonderful here! In fact Ga has been known for its pecan crops.

I'll keep you some and let them grow a bit before I try sending them. I've always been told to transplant trees in any month that has an "r" in it. So soon as I see them poping up I'll tag them so that they wont get pulled up. Then when its safe I'll contact you about mailing them.

Edgewater, MD(Zone 7a)

: D Thank you thank you: D

Jody, let me know on the maple.

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

You're very welcome :) Of course I can't take all the credit, because if those pesky squirrels didn't hide their food for later I wouldn't have soooo many seedlings popping up in the flower beds :) So I'll thank the squirrels for you as well :)

Kingston, GA(Zone 7b)

Those pesky squirrels have hickory and oak seedlings coming up all in my flower beds. Wish they would leave me a seedling that would grow up to drop nuts I could eat. LOL

Edgewater, MD(Zone 7a)

I am surrounded by oak trees, I dont have one tree in my yard but get enough leaves from everyone else to make my own tree if I felt like taking the time to glue it all together. At least that gives me plenty for the compost bing but DANG.

Southwestern, OH(Zone 6b)

Molly I'd love to try pecan trees too.

Unfortunately the only seedlings I"m getting are crab apple and maple.

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

Ok I'm going to write myself a note and post it where I wont forget. That way I can collect enough for all that want to try them.
Normally they are anywhere from 10-18" tall. So I'll be sure and tag several so they can grow a bit before mailing them.
You'd be surprised how fast they grow too!

Countrybumpkin, LOL I know what cha mean!

Draven, get you a mulcher or use your lawn mower and mulch them up. They do good for winter mulching, so I've been told.
All I have to use as mulch is pecan tree leaves, and they do wonders!

Melissa_Ohio, I'll add you to the list. I'll be in touch with the both of you as soon as I start seeing them pop up.

Edgewater, MD(Zone 7a)

Molly I use the mower wich also mulches. I have to do it serveral times in the fall and once in the spring for all the leaves that stayed on thru the winter. I do need a bigger compost bin, I got another one from the recycling center(free-as many as you want) I got it mainly so I can shovel from one bin to another but the way things are going I might need to get a third. Good Greif, I dont even have a 1/4 acre!
