It is found in Daniel 1:12-17. It was very popular as a quick weight loss program back in the '70s. There were books out about it, etc. I did it a couple times and did lose quite a few pounds. However I usually didn't eat properly after the ten days so the weight came back quickly. It is a strictly vegitarian diet. No meats of any kind, no dairy products or eggs, and I don't think you could use fats of any type either. Maybe just a little olive oil at the most. You had to watch which veggies you ate or it didn't work. Beans, except for green beans, were not part of the list of foods to be consumed daily. You started the day with a medium size potato to which you added toppings like worshestire(?) sauce, steak sauce, etc. Made sure you got the 64 oz. of water daily, etc. I don't remember if any fruits were allowed or not. Likely not as it was a very low carb diet too if I remember correctly.
I was young then and very impressionable and would try nearly anything at least once. You can probably still find it online if you looked.
Anyone here ever use the 10 day Daniel's Fast from the Bible
