Tricotyledon???

This is pretty weird. I have a Datura 'Black Currant Swirl' seedling that has three cotyledons. Anyone ever seen this before? How rare is it to have this happen?

I think it happens, just not often enough that it is everyday to us. Did the snow melt off?

It's not that uncommon. I have eight KBS x Spring Peach seedlings, two of those have three seed leafs. That's 25%.

I don't know if it makes a difference in the long run, but I like the triple sided Y's. Maybe these will be more likely to do that. I'm going to mark mine so I can tell if they continue to be different.
