Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Are there different kinds? Colors?

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

That is a pretty one! I can see you are truly in your element down there and taking true advantage of the better weather. How long til we get to see huge bananas and brugs?? ;)

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Chele, I saw huge banana trees right down the road from me yesterday. They were loaded with bunches of bananas. They had star fruit ripening and surinam cherries too. I got three golden passion fruits. I'm going to plant the seeds.
My bananas and brugs are recovering from the bad weather on the way down here, have buds on Tiara and Pure Love that should open soon. I'll post pictures as soon as they look decent enough to show. My Constance Elliot passiflora is loaded with buds, I was so surprised at how fast it recovered!

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

Oh I like. I bet you are having all a ball with all the new plants you can grow there.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I am Peggy, now if I could find a place here that has a good selection of ears and gingers. I need to replace some I lost in the move. I think they just got too cold, or maybe were too damp when I packed them.
I found a nursery here that has a huge selection of clumping bamboo, only one problem....they are in HUGE clumps, would take a backhoe to plant them. I think they have about 40 different ones...blue, black, green, golden, buddas belly, some with stripes around the stem...all kinds. I'm trying to talk the owner into starting me some little plants(3 or 5 gallon size), he said he will if he gets around to it.

Beautiful plant, Susie. I'm so jealous that you can grow all these neat plants there.

Susie, you must be in heaven. Your climate sounds perfect for growing just about everything. Your garden will be gorgeous this summer.

Woo, Jatropha! Jatrophas are weedy here, but I wouldn't mind having them in my yard.

Monocromatico, I think they are weedy here too! I'm seeing them everywhere now. I've noticed that the red one I posted above also comes with both a cut leaf and an uncut leaf. Are they the same or different varieties? I might have to take a picture so you'll know what I mean.
