Good Morning Everyone,
A very busy week for me. This has been the week for me to have lots of medical screening tests. Since I turned 50, my usual Dr.'s appointments are just not the same. They look at you a lot differently. Hmmm, so you turned 50, guess we better get do some screening. So, you may have guessed, I got a colonoscopy this week. It started with the prep. You people that have done this know, the prep is no fun. First I started with a clear liquid diet all day. I discovered I could never be a prisoner of war or anything like that. I live to eat. Never have I been so hungry. Then the gallon of the worst tasting stuff I have ever , in my whole life, tasted. Good thing I had some new gardening catalogs for my stay in the bathroom. Up early the next morning to get in my last cup of coffee before the NPO (nothing by mouth) deadline. Good thing coffee is considered a clear liquid. I would never have made it. The Dr. was running late, but still insisted on asking me the same set of questions I had already been asked twice. I had had my IV started a while earlier. Got the medication to make me sleep, so don't remember a thing about the test. All I know is I was pronounced "normal". A first for me I believe.
Hubby has been giving me a vacation from taking care of the livestock , since I have been having all these fun things happen this week. Even today I am off to St. Louis to a training seminar. I will ride up with a friend , go to the seminar and Hubby will meet me later. Hopefully afterwards I will have time to make the orchid show at the St. Louis Botanical Gardens. I will get to see my two youngest daughters and my Grandson.
Since Hubby has been doing the chores, I have been in farming withdrawal. So at work I have been checking out all the farm stuff on E-Bay. Anyone else ever do that? How about those grain bins in Greely Colorado? The last bid I saw was for 500 bucks. All ya gotta do is disassemble them and haul them home. k, so that don't sound too feasible. but still an interesting concept.
Snow has been melting here and it's at least getting above freezing during the day. That is a big plus. A little more daylight every day is certainly improving my mood. I have been going to work in the dark, and coming home in the dark. So, like the rest of you, anxious for Spring.
Well, off to the city. Have a great Valentine's Day.
