Glad he let him go free.. Two years ago.. I had a hummerbird that was injured by my mean cat! I saw him catch that hummer and I ran outside and caught that cat and I gave a gentle open its mouth and took hummer out and brought in the house and put in shoes box. I fed him with hummer feed.. as sugar/water... and made a call to the Human socity and told them about hummer. They gave me the ph num to call to the person who take care of any birds..They gave me the list how to take care of hummer. In few days later.. they came by and picked it up. In few days later I called and they said the hummer got well and let it fly away. It made me feel good to know that humme got healed and flly away.

Wow, I've never thought of trying to catch one. I wonder if that proud dad knows how easy it would be for a little bird like that to be injured.

Mini, I bet it did feel good knowing your little rescued hummer was okay!
