I sowed some hedychium species mixed from a packet in November and this seedling came up 2 weeks later. I now have 2 more seedlings from the same packet came up after 3 months which don't look anything like this one. It has a new leaf coming up (sorry for the blurred pic). I am new to gingers so if anyone can help I'd appreciate it.

Ginger seedling - help
Hmmmm...
I'm not a ginger expert; but, this does not appear to be one.
As far as I know, all gingers have simple grass-like leaves.
From what I can see, this one has lobed leaves arising from a basal rosette of some sort.
About the only thing I can think of that shares the ginger name are the Asarums. But they tend to have kidney shaped leaves.
About all you can do, is keep growing it on until you find out if you have trash or treasure.
Those long stems make me suspect it would like a bit more light, though.
No, not a hedychium. They are all monocots, only one leaf like a blade of grass. Your seedling looks like a ranunculus.
columbine?
