Maybe a link on the Herbs forum to this thread would get some attention. It could be folks are missing the "2nd" and thinking there is just one, which is closed?

Has anyone ever tried growing herb gardens in the large strawberry pots before? I am limited with space for an herb garden and wondered if it is possiable.

North Tonawanda, NY(Zone 3a)

Found a couple of great links to help ya out!

I have limited space, too, and want to make a pot pole. I plan to get a 5 or 6 ft length of 4"x4", paint it, and cement it into a large tub or pot. With plant hangers in 3 different lengths, I can attach these on all four sides of the 4x4 at different heights. Use nylon rope to make the hangers and I'll have 12 plants in a small amt. of space. If it works. :o)

I'll plant annual varieties, and come winter, use the pole as a big bird feeder (if I can find a way to squirrel-proof it, LOL). Maybe I can get some kind of vine to climb up the post, too, and have a pretty display. Necessity is the mother of invention! If I can find a cheap strawberry pot I might try that, too! It sounds like a great idea!

Gues we are all in? It will travel fast! Maybe we could do a double run? Send it back around and then back to you? That way if anyone had some special requests and one of us has some, we could put it in with their name on it and get a chance to browse over the seeds that others have added.
Just a thought, any input from the rest of you??

Brooklet, GA(Zone 8a)
