Orchid Cactus 'Pegasus'
x Disophyllum

This is my orchid cactus. It grows in a hanging basket and each spring I hang it outside. I store it in the shed during winter and withold food and give very little water. In the spring I cut it back, repot, feed and it goes for another summer. Very easy to grow.

So when does it bloom? Now, in winter in the shed? Or is it still winter where you are...? Or does it bloom on new growth after you cut it back? I have a red one that has not bloomed for me yet. Thanks, Susan

It blooms in the spring but I cannot tell you whether it's old or new growth that has the blooms. I will have to watch it closer this spring. I will have lots of cuttings soon when I give it a haircut.
