This is just one terrific looking plant! It is nice to see what a mature one looks like. Thank you for posting the picture.

Where are you from albleroy? And, am I reading that correctly at 40,000 (40 thousand)? Wow

Now I remember, thought your screen name looked familiar. I think I've read about your research on other internet sites. I'd probably not describe you as an amateur though....that's a very impressive collection and great photographs.

I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area/California and have a small collection of succulents. Some of my collection is listed in the PDB here on Dave's Garden. I also have some images uploaded to Ofoto Albums http://www.ofoto.com/BrowsePhotos.jsp?UV=409061451979_79910555405&collid=72534582405&page=1&sort_order=0 and am currently working on a website of images from my garden/greenhouse.

I love seeing images of the plants in situ, they are often so different than the "hothouse" examples we see.

L.A. (Canoga Park), CA(Zone 10a)

I have seen these plants at plant shows where the owners had cleaned the leaves with something that made them shine like opaque glass.

With 40,000 plants, you must have a huge greenhouse!

Yeas, indeed, the principal green house is 25m x 12,5 m and a very small one for the very sensitive plants (+12°C) of about 18m².
We have to do so, on this way we can save a lot of money on heating.
During april & may and also in october I am on Tenerife (Can. Islands) is there any body interested to join on the field???
greetings,
Albert
