Hi, are they hard to grow? My sixteen year old has tried two years to have them, to no avail What do they need? We bought a couple of plants. I would love a few seeds if you have extra.

It depends on what species of foxglove, are you growing a perennial species like grandiflora or lutea, or are they the yellow D. purpurea (common foxglove)?
Unlike the common foxglove, the other species aren't lowland meadow or woodland inhabitants. They usually prefer a poorish, well drained soil in fun or very light shade, the dislike water sitting on the leaves for too long so if it rains often in the winter, they will prefer to be out of the rain.
They can take 2 to 3 years to flower and are short lived perennials, often dying at about 5 years old but they will have produced seeds for you to resow.
Hi Amy..I have some yellow foxglove. I'll include some for you. Digitalis ferruginea is pretty too. Do you like to have some? The yellow one is D. lutea. I have both.
