I finally finished this one garden. It has a little of everything in it. The big plant is a duranta. It was already here. Behind the fence is a yucca and if you look real hard you can see the flowers on a poinsettia that is over 6ft tall.
One garden finished!
Boy, that is going to look great. You have a wonderful yard area and I hope you will post pictures this summer when things have really taken off. Love the privacy fence.
sniff...snivel.......green grass........plants ......Susie is living in wonder land and I'm in upper siberia
You will probably be discovering new plants etc. all the time. Those privacy fences should cut down on the wind a little? You have a dream home out there, would love the warm temps. We have had snow and ice for over 3 weeks. Spring should only be a month away, thank heaven!

Yes, the fence sure helps with the wind. I will have to remember to plant the brugs in the shelter of it so the flowers don't get shredded. Now I know why lots of the houses down here have so many plants crammed into their yards, it's to cut down on the wind!
I agree with Hibiscus! You have an absolute dream home!
Susie it's looking great. I can't wait to see it when your plants start filling out.
Oh Boy!! I can't wait to see the jungle this summer. I bet you've been working your tail off to get all your stuff planted. It's looking good!
Beautiful garden, I know by the this spring you'll have that yard filled with beautiful flower. I am wondering if we'll be able to find any grass areas left lol.
Wind, Bill said I could do what ever I want in the back yard, but can't mess with the front cause he loves grass. I figured I'd leave a little grass in the back cause the St Augustine grass is soft and nice to walk on barefooted!
I am so happy for you and I can't wait to see all the brugs your going to plant. I know they will get as big as some of the Palm trees you have there, it must be so nice to leave them outside or can you?
Your DH is a sweetheart, my OB doesn't want me to take up any more of the back yard because he won't have any place to put his telescope....poor baby.
Little does he know I have already decided to dig another spot for my new daylilies.
Yes, I can leave them out all year round. It frosts here once in a blue moon, usually once every 10-12 years.
Ok that's it!!!! I am packing my bags as we speak lol.
Green is great! Is that a man-made lawn or....?
Looks great Susie!!! Wow! Major zone envy here!!! Can't wait to see pics in a couple more months once you really get planting!
Beautiful, Susie. Can't wait to see the yard in a few months.
Dinu, yes, it's a man made lawn. It's St Augustine grass.
This will be so much fun to watch your jungle grow!
Kell, it will be fun once I get it all planted, lol. I planted a little bit more today, will work on another bed tomorrow. The area down by the water, I haven't a clue how to fix it. We cleaned up some of the underbrush back there today. Does everything in Texas have stickers on it?
