Howdy, have plenty extra purple wisteria for sase. They are packaged 6 seeds. Need 49 cents postage for these.
I do NOT know its proper name all I can tell you is that these seeds are NOT the normal dime sized/shaped seeds, these ones of mine look like a little kidney bean.
Have 5 offers so first 5 to post here can have them.
Will send you address.

Purple Wisteria for sase
I would love some -- will e-mail you! Thanks! Gretchen
Hello OhioBreezy--are these the vines or bush type? I have the wild type lavender wisteria but would love to try some different types of the wisteria. I am interested if you have some left and these are different from my wild kind. Please let me know. Thanks! :)
I would like to have some of these. Thank you so much.
Just wondering if this wisteria is hardy to zone 4? If it is, I would love to get in on this!!!thanks, Laura
countrybumpkin: these are a definite vine, about 14 feet high lol, if you still are interested let me know. It is not a wild one here.
Kooger: I am in zone 5/6ish, some say 5 and others say 6, I have gone with 5 for so long I use 5, not sure on your zone 4, but if you want to try them for sase, let me know for sure, you'd only be out 49 cents if it didn't winter over. Your call.
I am emailing all 5 of you now with my addy.
Ok, OB, you've got mail.
countrybumpkin,
The bush or tree form of wisteria, is mostly a matter of judicious pruning over a period of several years.
There is some information at this link about training Wisteria into a tree form:

Thank you eje for the informative site. I prune mine heavily all the time but it still is just as wild and rampant as all get out. LOL My wisteria came from the woods around in my area---it grows like crazy and takes over big old trees in the woods. The vines are beautiful tho.
OhioBreezy, I would love to try your wisteria seeds. I hope I will be green thumb enough to grow them. Please send me your addy and I will get the postage in the mail to you on Monday. Thank you for sharing with me. :)
I hope one day to get a start of the evergreen wisteria. I heard it is not as invasive or wild running as my wild wisteria is. I also understood it has different color blooms.
Received mine today -- thank you so very much, and thank you for the planting instructions. That is a nice touch and I hope to remember to do that when I someday have extra seeds to share. You are a sweetie!!! Gretchen
Gretchen, you are very welcome, I hope they do well for you!!

Received the seeds yesterday. Thanks so very much! I'll share a few with a couple of cousins. boy, can't wait for spring!!!!! We have 6-10 in. of snow predicted for late pm and eve. today. Enough already! Oh, well, more time for planning and dreaming! thanks for your generosity, Laurrie. DGers are the best! Laura
Laura, you are very welcome!! Happy to share these, I had plenty but down to just a few packets left, I want to do one in another area of my yard this year, well get it started at least and try 3 seeds together to make it into tree form, but I plan on starting with it small and braiding the "trunk" of it, think that is pretty, have been doing that with my rose of sharons and they are turning out nicely, also have been doing that with my corkscrew willow trees and they are just coming along so nicely, have to try something new and different and wisteria is this years project!!!
Glad your seeds arrived, good luck with them!!
