Well, there, Mr. Rooty toot toot.....as a matter of fact, I am. :>) My best friend and I are going to the Gardening Expo in Madison. Not a big show, but nice to get away for the day. Well, most of it, anyway. Don't know how much money I will part with, I know my friend will part with lots. Always nice to go to these things and get ideas. And thanks for the kind words, I had a really nice "real" chat with you too. Love the flower here.....it probably stinks too, doesn't it??

Are you sure you want a VooDoo lily bulb David. Root says it smelled up his house for a while. Not a good smell either. LOL!

Shirley and Root it can't possibly be any worse than these stapelias that I grow.
The blow flies pollinate them and once the flies go the flowers will be full of little maggots. Not pleasant but it's true.
Maybe they are related. I honestly can't wait for my VooDoo to bloom, but with some luck, it will be when I can take it outside during the day to give me a stink break.

I spent my birthday money from my mom and MIL foolishly......1 chenille plant, 1 foxtail fern, and a Japanese maple. Oh, and one of those little air plants, those ones you just have to mist a couple times a week. My friend, however, came home with 2 hanging ivy plants, a bunch of lily bulbs, 3 orchids, 2 leather hats, and some kind of begonia. Oops, forgot her 2 strands of little red lights. Went to Sam's club before the expo and came away with 2 sets of those 3 fiberglass round pots (3 in the set, I mean) and a large bag of potting mix. Don't have the mixings to make my own just yet, so this will have to do. All in all, a good day. And thanks, everyone, for the good wishes. I have so many friends here. :>)
