Friday, February 6, 2004 - Weigh in tomorrow!!!

Albany (again), NY(Zone 5b)

Hi folks - I'm a bit more at peace with my diet today. I realized when I posted on a previous thread, that I've lost almost #20 since August, 2002 when I first encountered this forum. I'm not happy with where I am or my progress of the past few weeks, but, looked at a different way - I do have some progress to be proud of. When I think I don't like where I am now, I just realized - hey, what about #20 ago.

I've recently been viewing my current situation as the "bad baseline", but it's also a good midpoint. I haven't made much progress since just before Thanksgiving, but it's starting to feel "right" to try a bit harder.

I have found that I do blow it occasionally (not badly), but I get right back to business without delay, usually the day afterwards.

It's the long haul - and I want to be mindful of the long term, what it takes to stay with it LONG TERM, not just short-term.

Sorry nothing interesting to report, but for everyone who has been on their diet a while - think back, and reflect on all of the progress you have made and picture yourself being where you were before you started. You might be pleased!
