i've got a few anthurium plants..
one white, and 2 reds... i've had them for a few years, and now i want to divide them up
maybe i'll have a few extras to bring to the fla swap if i can make it :)
anyone have any suggestions about how do do this?
i've read that i should just divide up the root ball.. but i get a little nervous when messing around with the roots of my plants.. lol
i dont know why, but i do.. i suppose i'm just overly paranoid about killing them accidentally
do i just rip it apart?
or.. do it very carefully?
or.. what?
i'm a little intimidated by the idea of "dividing up a root ball"

thanks for the url :)
if i'm feeling brave enough tomorrow, i'll just pull them out of their pots and divide them up and hope for the best.. lol
i say i've got 3 anthurium.. but i've probably got way more than that, they're just in 3 pots..probably multiple plants in each pot.. hehe

i need to mist them even in this south louisiana humidity?
whoa..
i didnt know that.. lol
i rescued these things like three years ago from near death at the garden center in one of the stores around here, was told they were house plants, and i tossed them in their pots outside on the plant stand in a fairly protected area of the yard to fend for themselves... they didnt get misted or any sorts of special care..and they flourished and thrived and bloomed their butts off.. and now i think they're a little pot bound so that's the only reason i'm doing anything to them
lol
